seriously, do come in

Why Limit Magic to an Hour?

October 12, 2017

Our Seriously, Do Come In feature of the month is enchanting and alluring, perfect for the magical month of October! It is DNLUD’s latest obsession - Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in the new Moxy Hotel Time Square.

Tao Group has done it again, except bigger this time with NYC’s newest and largest indoor/outdoor hotel rooftop bar.  They are calling it an “urban amusement park”, and it was definitely a roller coaster of an evening.  The design features multiple bars, leading you ‘round and ‘round like a fun house. We soon learned why Magic Hour is so much better than happy hour! Everything from the miniature golf course named Foreplay, to their huge circus animals (similar to the famous breakdancing bunny at Vandal NYC), carousel style seating that actually rotates, and the sounds of DJ RichKid left us saying this place truly is magical.

Yabu Pushelberg and Rockwell Group designed the interior as a classy circus - sounds impossible?

Imagine glass blown Balloon inspired ceiling light fixtures and custom elephant head sconces, paired with dramatic floor to ceiling velvet drapes and marble bars lined with chevron tiles.

If this venue is not closed for a private event - like Rihanna who opened the doors for the first time with FentyxPuma private event - you can enjoy what may be the best view of the Empire State Building in NYC. For the first time, DNLUD had a reason to visit Times Square.  Good news, the rooftop is heated so we will be enjoying this hot spot all winter.  See you there ;)
